These bottles have undergone a significant weight reduction, from 410g to 360g, by incorporating up to 80% recycled glass cullet.
This change also results in a 12% decrease in carbon emissions for each bottle, according to the company.
Both 750ml Bordeaux and Schlegel bottles feature a screw cap finish, with the Bordeaux variant also available in a cork mouth finish.
Both styles are available in several colours, including flint, antique green, and standard green, with a royal blue option exclusive to the Schlegel range.

These bottles are an addition to AGP-Europe’s existing standard lightweight offerings, complementing the existing lightweight 345g wine bottle produced in the UK.
AGP-Europe chief commercial officer Stuart Santon said: “These new lightweight wine bottles in a range of colours and finishes offer our customers versatility and choice while reducing the carbon footprint of their glass packaging.”
In a move towards sustainability, AGP-Europe secured a long-term virtual power purchase agreement with independent clean energy power producer, Rezolv Energy last month.
In June 2024, AGP also announced a significant 64% reduction in CO₂ emissions from glass bottles produced using its advanced NextGen Furnace technology, resulting in approximate saving of 18,000 tonnes of CO₂ since the beginning of 2024.
